LCG certifies in the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business 8(m) (EDWOSB) Federal Contract Program
Based on our company's prior participation in the 8(a) business development program LCG has expanded its visibility within the Federal contracting community by certifying in the newly established 8(m) Woman Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program. Federal contracting officers will now have the ability to set-aside contracts valued up to three (3) million dollars as long as there is a reasonable expectation that two (2) or more EDWOSB's will compete.
U.S. Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Science Publishing Network (SPN), Publishing Service Center (PSC) - Technical Editorial Support
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) collects, monitors, analyzes and provides scientific understanding about natural resource conditions, issues and problems. The team of experts that is utilized to accomplish this task create numerous reports, of a highly scientific nature, that explain complex natural phenomena and offer workable solutions. LCG has been awarded a contract to provide substantive technical editorial support for these reports which includes fact checking and limited rewriting to improve clarity for non-technical audiences.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) - Incident Management Type 1 and Type 2 Positions Task Books and NIMS Qualifications and Endorsements Process Guide
FEMA has partnered with LCG to establish a nationwide standard for the determination of tasks and definition of job titles associated with Type 1 and Type 2 incident events. LCG will work with the Incident Management Working Group (IMWG) to clarify and define the skill sets necessary to qualify first responders to these hazardous environments. Additionally, LCG will supply administrative support for the IMWG, specifically the sub-group responsible for the development Type 1 and Type 2 task books and National Incident Management System (NIMS) endorsement documentation. LCG will identify and retain Subject Matter Experts (SME) in these areas and coordinate their interface with the IMWG to produce a set of peer reviewed, comprehensive publications that reflect the national standard desired by FEMA.
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) - MacPro video editing stations and software training
LCG has been awarded a contract to provide Macintosh computer workstations configured with software and hardware to support the Final Cut Pro video editing software suite. LCG will also schedule the supplemental training of the Division of Multimedia and Broadcast Communications (DMBC) staff on the use of Final Cut Pro and related software.
Editorial Services Blanket Purchase Agreement with National Institutes of Health (NIH)
LCG was issued a Blanket Purchase Order Agreement with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to perform editorial services such as writing, editing, copyediting, proofreading, and publication management/production services.
Government Printing Office (GPO) Issues LCG a Simplified Purchasing Agreement (SPA 960)
The Government Printing Office (GPO) approved LCG's application for a Simplified Purchase Agreement contract to enable small purchases under the SPA 960 threshold for contracting printing services directly with LCG.
U.S. Department of Treasury Approved LCG to Become a Treasury Integrated Printing Procurement Systems (TIPPS) Supplier
The Department of Treasury has included LCG in its roster of pre qualified suppliers to provide printing services for the Agency's web-based Treasury Integrated Printing Procurement Systems (TIPPS).
